Walter Reeves “Wally” is a Military Motion Media student at S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and is a Specialist in the Army.

Walter Reeves “Wally” is originally from San Diego, California. He moved to Everett, Massachusetts at age 13 where he completed High School. At age 21 Wally moved to Derry, New Hampshire were he pursued screen-printing for 6 years before joining the United States Army as a Combat Documentation and Production Specialist (COMCAM). 

After completing basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina Wally attended the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland and then moved across the street to his first duty station, the 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera). At the 55th he deployed to Afghanistan, where he helped train Soldiers in photography as well as contributing still images and video on various temporary duty assignments. 

Wally enjoys music, movies, photography, videography and writing for fun. He will return to the 55th Signal Company (COMCAM) at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland upon completion of the Military Motion Media course.
