Staff Sergeant Paul S. Mancuso is a Military Motion Media student at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In January of 2002, Staff Sergeant Mancuso reported to MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina..  Upon Graduation, Private First Class Mancuso reported to Camp Geiger, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. Upon completion of MCT, PFC Mancuso reported to Fort Meade, Maryland, where he completed entry-level training and obtained the MOS of 4671 (Combat Videographer).  In September of 2002, PFC Mancuso reported to 2d Marine Division, Combat Camera, where he served as a Combat Videographer. In November of 2003, Lance Corporal Mancuso deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan with the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment as the Combat Camera team leader in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  After a successful six month deployment and meritorious promotion to Corporal, Cpl Mancuso returned to 2d Marine Division, Combat Camera, where he filled the billet as the Platoon Sergeant, Training NCO as well as a Combat Videographer. In January of 2005, Cpl Mancuso deployed to Fallujah, Iraq with Regimental Combat Team Eight in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While with RCT-8, Corporal Mancuso was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment as the Combat Camera Team Leader. He was later cross-decked to the 2d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment as the Combat Camera Team Leader.  During that deployment, Cpl Mancuso briefly served as the RCT-8 SNCOIC.  Following a successful 9 month deployment, Sergeant Mancuso reported back to 2d MARDIV, Combat Camera, where he was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps January 2, 2006. In July of 2007, Sgt Mancuso reported to 2d Marine Division, Combat Camera, as the Operations Chief. In May 2008, he transferred to Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Combat Camera/ Instructional media, where he served as the units’ Operations Officer.  During this tour he was selected for MCCSSS NCO of the Quarter and was later selected as MCCSSS NCO of the Year 2009, and the Military Affairs Committee, Service Member of the Month for April. Staff Sergeant Mancuso has two children Nathan and Liliana.
