Michael McCool

Michael McCool | 2011 Staff Sergeant, USAF

Michael McCool is a Military Motion Media student at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and is a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force.

McCool has served as a graphic artist and news reporter in the U.S. Air Force for nine years.  In 2008, he deployed to Afghanistan where he reported on Operation Enduring Freedom, produced a special on the historic Bamyan Province, and created a three-story series on the Afghan Army Basic Training facility.  In 2009, he traveled to Haiti to report on the multi-national earthquake relief effort.

McCool is married and has five children with a sixth on the way. His next assignment is as a combat cameraman at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
